an independent analytics and research firm. In a recent report, Leaving Money on the Table: A Buyer’s Guide to Contract Management and Payment Review Solutions, PayStream Advisors, Inc. compiled its Contract Management & Payment Review Buyer’s Guide after an extensive review of each nationally recognized contract management vendor. Here are some of things they had to say:

“The Kreg Team extends payer contract management beyond traditional payment compliance applications to encompass the entire payer contract life cycle. Two of Kreg’s major strengths are the accuracy of the calculation engine and the expertise of their support and implementation staff.”

“EV-CMA’s calculation engine is attractive for several reasons. The most appealing is the intuitive and logical contract building process”

“EV-CMA stays in synch with payer’s systems. The calculation routine is run nightly which ensures that all claims are as up-to-date and accurate as possible.”

“EV-CMA’s calculation accuracy is enhanced by having 3M’s APC grouper embedded. Since Medicare uses this same tool to calculate APC reimbursement, EV-CMA’s APC calculation are expected to be entirely correct.”

Whether it is a doctor’s office or a hospital, finding an up-to-date financial recording and data storage system is not easy. Many still use systems developed 30 years ago to keep track of vital billing and patient data. With a new way to provide flexible reporting, Kreg Information Systems is offering these facilities new software that could improve the financial reporting process.

Tom Kennedy, CEO, Bristol Hospital, explained “We received tremendous value for Kreg’s EnterpriseVision products. They are incredibly easy to use and more cost-efficient than any other alternative available in the market. Specifically, their programs aid in managing our institution better. For example, EV helps us match up payments received against the negotiated terms of the managed care providers so we can more effectively manage accounts receivable. The reporting is so flexible; we can do costing by department, by individual unit of service, by a common medical problem or by a specific physician. Kreg provides great products and service.”

* 10 Hospitals Average Over $750,000 Bottom Line Increase Via Kreg Strategic Pricing *

Kreg Information System recently completed 11 independent Strategic Pricing engagements yielding on average $750,000 on net revenue increase over a flat across the board increase. Brian Schneider, our Strategic Pricing Manager, indicated the hospitals were located throughout the country in 7 different states. Hospital beds sizes ranged from 50 to 200 beds with the average overall hospital increase being below 7%. There were a few hospitals that yield over 1.5 million while the other averaged around a .5 million. For every hospital the return on investment was 10 times or greater.

Our strategic pricing studies incorporated other area hospitals rate for comparison purposes as well as a very close look at outliers. One other unique option with Kreg is that we involve all department managers for final pricing review and adjustment before we pass the price file back to the hospital main information system.
