Children’s Hospital Boston Licenses Kreg’s Contract/Claims Management Solution

Children's Hospital Boston, a 397-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care, has licensed Kreg’s Contract/Claims Management (EV-CMA) solution. As one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States, Children's offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through 21 years of age and is consistently ranked as one top Children’s Hospitals in the United States.

Kreg’s EV-CMA solution is a powerful web-based application that calculates accurate expected payment information for institutional and professional claims – both inpatient and outpatient – regardless of contract terms. EV-CMA clients expand their ROI by utilizing EV-CMA’s powerful simulation capability during each contract negotiation to maximize contract provisions that improve their bottomline – not the payers. Additionally, with EV-CMA’s Claim Tracking and Workflow Automation features, many tasks geared towards identifying and collecting underpayments are streamlined to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of payment compliance.

Howard University Hospital Partners With Kreg To Deliver Complete Decision Support Solution

Howard University Hospital (HUH), in Washington, D. C., has licensed the entire suite of Kreg products. The 479 bed hospital is currently implementing:
  • Contract/Claims Management System
  • Cost Accounting/Decision Support System
  • e-Budgeting/Management Reporting System
HUH dates back to 1862. Housed in converted army barracks, it was initially called Freedmen’s Hospital and provided a refuge where ex-slaves received the medical care they were denied elsewhere. In the late 1860s, Freedmen’s formed a partnership with the Howard University College of Medicine to train African-American medical professionals. Together the medical school and the Hospital have served as a training ground for many of the nation's top African-American physicians.

Over the course of its 145-year history of providing the finest primary, secondary and tertiary health care services, Howard University Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, has become one of the most comprehensive health care facilities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In April 2007, the Hospital ranked number one among selected area hospitals on 19 quality measures published by the U.S. Health and Human Services Department.
